My main work has been for years designing and developing GiD and also
RamSeries. I have also developed the
meshers that are inside the program and that use the advancing front
technique. Very short professional biography:
1993.-
University degree: Civil engineer by the UPC (Universitat politècnica
de Catalunya SPAIN).
1995.- Beginning and initial design of the
pre and postprocessor for FEM, GiD.
1996-1997.- Several short
stages in Washington (2-3 months) in the GMU university to work in
collaboration and under the supervision of
Löhner, Rainald in mesh generation subjects.
1998-1999.-
GiD begins to be used worldwide.
PhD in the UPC university about
mesh generation and geometry modelling.
20 march 2000- Obtained a
phD in the mentioned fields. You can obtain the phD thesis here.
2001-2007.- Working as General Manager for company Compass
Ingeniería y Sistemas, a CIMNE start up in the field of numerical methods
and commercial software.

RamSeries An structural program that solves, using the
finite element method, coupled beam and shells in the space, as well as 3D solids in lineal elasticity.
It uses GiD as pre-postprocessor.

Ingeniería y Sistemas, among its products, it develops and markets Ram Series,
Tdyn and Custom GiD.
A graphical debugger for Tcl-Tk. It is made in Tcl-Tk. Its name is
RamDebugger.
A nice and easy-to-learn program to create drawings to insert in latex. It is made in Tcl-Tk
and I created it to make the pictures of my phD thesis. Its name is
TexPict.
